Meet the Staff at Greensboro National

Michael Parah

PGA Professional

Michael has returned home to Greensboro National as the Golf Course Operations manager.  He was the first golf professional at Greensboro National as he helped open the course in 1995. Growing up in upstate New York, and after graduating college with a degree in music along with  studying agronomy for a year, he set forth to the Carolinas where he started his golf career at Carolinas Shores in Calabash and later became the Head Professional.  His career moved in a new direction where he got involved in new golf course projects, managing five new golf projects, with 8 new courses and helped in the rebuild of 5 courses throughout Virginia and the Carolinas. He has three children, Andrea, Michael and Jordan. Andrea lives in New York with his three grandchildren and Michael and Jordan are living here in the Carolinas where Jordan, a graduate of ECU is an artist in Greenville NC, and Michael Jr. is following his father’s footsteps as a golf professional in Myrtle Beach.  Michael also competed in a few Nike Tour events in 1994 and 1995 along with competing in several Carolina PGA Tournaments over the past 28 years.  Returning to Greensboro National has become a dream come true for Michael as he is excited to bring his experiences back to the club which has always had very a special place in his heart.
