Greensboro National News- May Issue

This May at Greensboro National has been a busy yet progressive month for our Club and its players.  We were honored to host a variety of local outings and tournaments all of which turned out to be a success in outstanding entertainment and effective fundraising for those doing so through our venue.  In addition to hosting several great outings we added a large fairway bunker on the left edge of the 15th par 5.  This serves to narrow the fairway a bit as well as catch errant tee shots opposed to ending up in the woods.  Unfortunately, the heavy winter took a toll on the bottom of 15 fairway hill and our Greens Keeper Vicente is working diligently to correct it, please honor the no carts/ Ground Under Repair roped off section of this fairway so the grass may come back as quickly as possible.  Additionally, we hosted a successful Mother’s Day Brunch with roughly 115 people showing up to celebrate the Mothers in our lives.  We did so with a roast beef and turkey carving station, as well as our signature mimosas and bloody Marys.

In the bar and grille we are now open for breakfast Monday- Thursday at 8:00am and Friday- Sunday at 7:00am, we will be serving fresh made biscuits and breakfast sandwiches, and we are happy to prepare special requests accordingly based on business and ingredients.  We served as host to a successful private wedding reception and always look forward to doing so.

In other news Greensboro National Estates will be welcoming a new home situated on 227 Niblick Dr. overlooking the 14th green.  The 3,300 square foot Custom Spec house is being built by R. Andrews Builders inc. and designed by Charles Ross Custom Homes, LLC for information on the new construction contact 336.541.5468.

Moving forward in the Month Greensboro National will be hosting the Web.com PGA Tour Qualifier for the Rex Hospital Open over in Raleigh, with 156 aspiring and former tour players and their caddies playing a practice round on Sunday May, 28th after 11:00am with the all day qualifier occurring the following day Monday May, 29th.  Spectators are welcome to come and watch the quality golfers see what they can shoot at GNGC!

Lastly the Greensboro National Estates pool has officially opened for the summer and Our Golf Club Bar and Grille will be offering a Pool Side ‘Splash’ menu with our beverage cart girls taking orders to and from on a timed schedule.

Thank you all for being a part of Greensboro National News- May issue,

Sincerely,
GNGC
